I have a Saw Stop Pro 3 hp saw and I also looked at the Industrial Saw Stop. The additional money for the Industrial wouldn’t have been a big deal.
My decision was based on the fact that I am going to be the only person using it and the saw would not be running all day constantly.
I have ripped 12/4 Oak with it and the saw cut it easily and smoothly.
The Pro model is well constructed and should last me a lifetime. At 200 pounds less than the Industrial saw it ain’t going to move even with the heaviest lumber I would be cutting.
