Posted on Old Ridgid jointer for $200 - yay or nay

If you’re in the market for a used jointer, I’d strongly consider paying $200 for that Ridgid. I mean better deals do come along from time to time. But how long are you prepared to wait for the occasional $100 steal to show itself? And $200 for that Ridgid is still $200+ cheaper than buying a new machine. Assuming the motor runs, the cutterhead spins, and the table elevation wheels function you could have that machine in working order in no time.
BUT-
If you can afford a new machine. New is good too.
