Dunno what tolerances you are working to. Starrett “Measure
Stix” tapes are pretty good, or at least very close to the
scales on my Austrian-made table saw. The important
thing is you don’t develop unacceptable levels of compound
errors due to tapes not matching up, especially on
longer cuts.

... so I’d stick with one brand.

I once bought something like this:

I only used it a couple of times and after a year or two
the rest of the roll had stuck to itself and I threw it out.
