The back of my property is 50-75ft by 400ft. I have a mix of white pine, white oak, birch, beech, and maple. I’ve always loved trees as beautiful living things (hence the treefarm). It’s only in the last few years that I’ve begun to look at trees also as lumber. I’m trying to think of the appropriate excuse to justify a portable mill to the boss.

If you ever want an experience a tree lovers paradise, take a walk around the mansions of Newport, RI and the campus of Salve Regina University. Extraordinary specimens from around the worls were brought in (almost full size) a 100 years ago. The size and diversity is astounding.
