How much does the saw weigh?

Also, Italian-style steel-frame saws have a narrow footprint
and a lot of weight up high, so I would recommend putting
front-to-back stabilizers on the saw base and using an
oversized mobile base.

The Rockler style is ok for a machine up to about 300lbs.
and the kick lever is very good on it. The wood will
sag with heavier machines and if the floor is at all uneven
it may scrape.

I have a bunch of mobile bases by different manufacturers –
machine weight has a lot to do with what is going to
work well.

I’d avoid the kind with the kick levers like the adjustable
one in the bottom pic except for machines in the under
150 lb. range.

This one is really nice

I have one. I have a 400+lb overarm router on it and it
glides across the floor.
