I bought a old BS and fixed it up. I got quite a bit of time in it and a fair amount of money. All it really needed was tires, new guide blocks, a stand , new belt, blades and paint. I still spent almost $300 including 6 new blades and I only paid $60 for the saw. I think $500 is pretty high unless it is a lot better than it looks.
