New Fence For Old Grizzly TSC-10

I have a Grizzly TSC-10 table saw that I have had for years. It is assembled and in the basement and I do not want to think about swapping it out and fighting to get something new down the stairs.

I have upgraded the belt and made a few sleds etc and I get decent performance. But the fence is not very good and I would like to replace it.

Options are a Delta T2 or a Biesemeyer (both will probably require some drilling) or perhaps a homemade unit using aluminum extrusions. Then I came across a forum post where member Don Niermann posted about putting a Mule fence on his old Grizzly. Well, I am a newbie and need more posts before I can send a message to Don!

Don claims he just bolted the new fence on. I am hoping he will say he had a TSC-10!

Anyone have experiences they can share with respect to upgrading a TSC-10? Or can anyone forward this to Don Niermann for me?

Thank you!

I have spoken to Grizzly service in the past. What I am trying to avoid is drilling and taping. The Mule fence looks interesting and the posibility of being a bolt on is very enticing. There is a another similar fence now available from Very Super Cool Tools (vsctools.com) that also uses an extrusion for the fence bar and has t slots but that is a fence only…. I would still have to buy and install Biesemeyer or similar rails and that makes the total package expensive.

You used to be able to buy the Mule fence through Amazon but the company has stopped selling through the big A. That concerns me a bit but probably just indicates that their volume has dropped and they are just a mom and pop garage operation.

Thanks for the reminder about Shop Fox on Grizzly. Grizzly has come a long way since I first bought that table saw. It took some doing to get that saw stand put together but the bandsaw I bought last year went together absolutely perfectly. And rather than home delivery, I had the freight company hold it for pick up and they used their forklift on site to load the crate/box right into my pickup which made life much easier for me!

I may yet opt for a cabinet saw but dollars are still tight!
