Tung is less ambering. All oils darken wood.

If you want that look that has almost no visible surface
film and keeps the wood as pale as possible, use wax.
Super-blonde shellac as a sealer with wax topcoat
is good too.

Beeswax ambers. Carnauba is whiter.

You can buff wax to high gloss. You have to meticulously
fill pores if you want a glassy look though.
