I have an LT24 with ceramic guides. IMO they do not live up to Laguna’s hype, and you’ll need to deal with Laguna to get spare ceramic bits. That alone is a good enough reason not to opt for them.

$2500 for a 10 year old saw seems high, especially when you consider what that kind of coin will get you these days from Grizzly et al.

Laguna was putting Baldor motors on their saws 10 years back so I would make sure that the motor is a Baldor. They may have been using 3 HP on the LT18 back then. I know they bumped the HP on the LT24 after I bought, from 4.5 HP to 6 HP.
