Not sure how wide the blade is that you currently have, but the thinner the blade the smaller the curves you can easily cut. I tend to use a 1/4 or 3/8 inch blade for general cutting, and a 1/2 inch blade for resawing. This blade also works good for sawing the lids on boxes. The wider the blade is of course the easier it is to cut a straight line. Another good blade is the Wood Slicer. This is what I have started to use for resawing and it’s a great blade.
