I would have a hard time ever picking one piece of furniture and calling it the Holy Grail of Woodworking. I like so many different styles of furniture and not only does the style attract me, but probably more appealing to me is the technique that it takes to make it. I’ve seen projects here on Lumberjocks that stops me in my tracks and takes my breath away…............and no I can’t pick a favorite! LOL

Like the piece you posted renners; The design is cool, but what catches my eye more then anything is what it took to build it. Since I love working with curves, this piece blows my mind and I think is awesome! It’s one thing to cut two boards and make a square corner, but it’s something altogether different to get wood to flow like that piece. The lines are so smooth and perfect you have to wonder what kind of forms he had to make and the overall building process to achieve the final piece. The transition from curves to the flat top is perfect to my eye. The texture of the finish on the exterior also catches your eye….......
