Let me lay out an opinion:

Delta is pretty much a USA and Canada machine brand. They
never built much more than light industrial machinery –
they never made edgebanders or moulders or horizontal
panel saws or heavy line boring machines. They just did
the affordable and quality machines cabinet shops without
a big line of credit could get started with and served the
hobby market well too. Delta’s heaviest-duty stuff was
mostly made by Invicta in Brazil.

I am not knocking Delta machines. They have made some
good quality stuff over the years and you won’t go far
wrong investing in used Delta cast iron machines in
any weight class.

Chang Iron, who purchased Delta, is not messing around.
They probably intend to sell real industrial machinery
all over the world under a range of brand names. The
Delta brand is a feather in their cap, and not one they
are likely to gut, but probably also not where they
see their big growth opportunities.

I really doubt Chang Iron acquired Delta in order to
wreck it.
