Posted on Quick help - Fulton double end plane value?

I went with the cheaper LAKESIDE for now, probably won’t use it much but when I need one they are nice to have. I will want to upgrade someday. I have a Stanley No. 110 that is nothing special ($5) but when I went to clean it up the threads got stripped. Apparently the rust was making it work. Now it’s a decoration. This lake side has better adjustment anyhow. I also bought an older metal ruler/foldable tape. The only reason I did that is because it was really rusty and I wanted to see how well I could clean it up. Rust removal practice I guess. (The Works Toilet Bowl Cleaner, I think that I will do a video for it) Thanks for the rapid responses everyone! I told them to let the vendor know that if he really wants to move that Fulton I would take it if he lowered it a bit. It is still, in my mind, a rather unique plane. Edit: Note to everyone, never set anything of yours down in an antique mall, 15 minutes later and I was walking back up to the till with a good bit of dizziness and my coffee mug. -- Grant - S/N Dakota |
