Here’s your Sawstop reply! This pass Dec I sold my Delta contractor saw (which I loved but it didn’t love me back) and bought a Sawstop 1.75hr cabinet saw. I payed $2700.00 for it. Back in December I did cut my finger with my delta CS and was off work for over 3 wks. I didn’t loose any body parts only a flesh wound. I was lucky to have short time disability from work (I’am a nurse and the hand surgeon wouldn’t let me go back until it was healed) if I had cut off any of my fingers I would’ve been Screwed! Now for the Sawstop, I really love it! The extra power in the motor compared to the Delta CS is a huge difference. I know it’s only a quarter horse more but it’s very noticeable, the riving knife, dust collection, 36” fence and the safety of the break are fantastic. I don’t regret spending that much for the SS because if I have to use the $65.00 break and destroy a saw blade so what, I would still able to take care of my family. Sawstop!
