I have both the Ridge (from Holbren) and the WWII. When new, they both cut extremely well. Over time, the Ridge seems to have dulled more quickly than the WWII. Since I didn’t cut the exact same pieces of wood on both blades, it definitely isn’t a controlled test. After a year of use, the WWII crosscuts are a tad bit smoother than the Ridge. Both are good blades and made in the USA. I don’t regret buying either one.

I looked at the Tenryu and its width is half way between a full kerf and a thin kerf blade. The 1/32” width difference between the full and thin kerfs drives me crazy. Trying to do fractions at 1/64” intervals would be my undoing.
