Yes, I’ve had problems with edge banding durability. It is difficult to repair if damaged. I don’t have a commercial type edgebander, so applying the banding takes nearly the same time as the wood strips. This is a modern piece, so I have to think differently about it maybe. Anyway, that’s my take, but it’s your cabinet. And it’s going to be a really nice looking one too!
