Last thing I built similar to this was my lathe stand. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of the build. The drawers were suspended from the table top. I routed slots just big enough for the drawer box and dividers (3/4” plywood) into the bottom of the table and just glued them. It has held up for almost 5 years now. I would approach your project like this:
Dadoes into the desk top and side with a simple rabbet joint between the side and bottom of the drawer box frame. Simple but very strong. -- "Find out what you cannot do and then go do it!" |
