In responding to a different post, dealing with rough cedar paneling, I suggested a water based acrylic that is very easy to spray. It is almost odorless, dries in 1 to 2 hours, depending on temp, and can be had in gloss, semi gloss, and matte finishes. Has a milky appearance until dry, when it becomes clear. For rough paneling, spraying would by far be the easiest way to go. If you want to know more, I’ll dig around in the shop tomorrow to find the brand.
