and the simplest taper jig (sled) of all is…............................

a piece of mdf or plywood with two parallel sides that’s wider than the workpiece, and a roll of double sided tape. position the taper sled between the blade and the fence such that the sled just touches the blade. mark the taper on the workpiece. put double sided tape on the sled so it captures the workpiece but leaves the taper off cut hanging out past the blade. king of like a jig for ripping a board with no even and flat sides. works really well and it;s really cheap. can also be fabricated to whatever width/length is needed.

-- there's a solution to every just have to be willing to find it.
