I keep thinking that if I had my life to live over, I’d become a meteorologist. They get paid a lot of money and they never have to be right. They aren’t even expected to be right. How cool is that?! We lived in Hawaii for 19 years and I swear the daily forecasts were just a series of seven rubber stamps: Sunny today with some squalls, partly cloudy today with some sunshine, mostly sunny but a few squalls, etc. Thing is, they’d be on the air telling us that it was raining when there was not a cloud in the sky! They could be so much more on it if they just looked out the window instead of their computer screens. Anyway, here in the beautiful California Sonoma County Redwoods, this January day is sunny, clear and a crisp 50 degrees. And that’s from actually being out in the weather! -- Skip, Forestville, CA, http://www.sonomastainedglass.com |
