BTW, a few more things…

- If Michael Johnson said that, he too is racist. That doesn’t surprise me. Anybody can make racist statements.

- Two of the hardest things to do in sports, arguably, is to play quarterback in the NFL and to hit a baseball in MLB. Now, the latter could be explained by “opportunity,” but certainly not the former. So if your “eyes” are enough authority to say that “blacks are better athletes” then I’d be right in responding with my opinion that whites dominate in the most “alhletic” of tasks. But I would NEVER attempt to say that, because I know, that there are a million factors to explain it all, most of which you’d rather ignore just because you’ve watched a bunch of guys on TV and you think that’s good enough.

- The definition of racist is “a person with prejudiced beliefs that one race is better than another.” You are judging, in advance of any situation or context, that people with black skin will be genetically given to athletic superiority. Hitler judged, in advance of any situation or context, that his own race was genetically given to human superiority. I see little difference between the two fundamentally, except that you lack the position of power and certain amount of evil to carry out an agenda.

- I have listened to my father, to this day, talk about how much better white offensive linemen are in football than black men because, as he says, “whites are just smarter.” My father coached varsity high school football for 30 years. He knows the game. His opinion comes from a better background than yours, speaking out of more experience and authority than you. That changes nothing. My father too is a racist.
