Minwax Golden oak. Sand the oak to 120 grit then stain. Let it dry completely and steel wool with 0000. Then do another coat of stain. Let it set in for a few minutes before wiping. This will make the grain really pop. Then you can add your clear coats. 5 to 6 coats of solvent based finish or 8 to 10 coats of water based. Light sand between coats with 240 to 300 grit sand paper.
