Problems with search option

Whenever I try to search the forum, the Search doesn't seem to work. I enter a search term such as "Delta" I get the "Search Results" page and it doesn't get past "Loading". No results appear.

I'm using Firefox 17 with Windows XP Pro with SP# fully updated.

By the way, the search works fine if I use Windows Explorer.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The search works for me if I use IE8 but not in Firefox 17. I have noticed on another site (can't recall which one) that the search doesn't work for FF 17. Perhaps it is something built into the search engine used for the LumberJocks, and other, sites.

BTW, I just looked at my original post and I am using XP Pro SP3, not SP#.

Edit:
I am using Ghostery and disabling seems to enable searching. I'll do some more research and report back. I'm assuming the Google search engine is what powers the LJ search engine - can anyone confirm that?

Followup:
I enabled the Google Ajax search API in Ghostery and the search feature of LJ is working. I'll do more testing but for anyone who is having trouble with the search here, it is worth looking into.

Please let us know what you find, it will help others.

Causual1carpenter - it seems you had the right idea. I thank you.
