Posted on I need your help if you know how lathes are put togeather or what part do i need to fix my lathe

I looked and your other post said what kind of lathe it is.

Look at the parts diagram on the manual:

Most likely the part in problem is the retaining clip labled part 60 or alternatively, you could have also just unthreaded the screw from the quill while overextended. Push the quill all the way back in the tailstock and see if the screw will thread in again.

Either way, lathes are pretty simple machines and the parts should not be too expensive if broken.
