Love the 4100! That’s my saw! Congrats! You can do almost anything on this saw. I have made some very cool things with this powerful, often overlooked, saw.

My sled is about 24” wide by 20” frt/bck. it has two runners and a T-track along the top of the rear fence for toggle clamps. I also placed several 150grit PSA sandpapers along each side of the kerfline so parts don’t slip. This is as much for safety as for protecting the piece from damage.

As for the outfeed, Bosch sells an outfeed extension kit. It works well, though it is not solid like your melamine idea. I have the left hand side and the outfeed ext. arms and they have served me well, especially when cutting larger pieces of ply.
