Is it actually orbiting or just spinning in a circle like a grinder ?
If you’re getting the grinder action , that means the “brake” is broken on your unit.
Easy to fix…look at the parts / repair manual and replace the broken part. Parts diagrams available online.
On my PorterCable units , it is just an O-ring type of device.
