Posted on drying time of shellac before packaging for shipment?

My experience is that it may take a day or so. It depends a lot on the cut and how old the can of shellac is. I find that older shellac takes longer to dry and is a bit thicker. This is probably because some of the alcohol comes off when the can is open.

I try to let things with Shellac dry in open air with a small fan blowing on it. I wait for the fan until the surface is dry enough that dust will not stick
