I found my 19” Shop Fox BS on craigslist for $400 in decent shape. I see the big ones for sale about once or twice a year in Phoenix. If you have patience, that would be the way to go.

The larger footprint in my garage shop isn’t much more than the 14” machine anyway. It cuts large stock like a dream too. A 143” blade has plenty of time to cool down the teeth between strokes and so deflection and heat is never an issue.

My Dad has a Delta 14” BS and he comes to my house to use my 19” BS when he wants to resaw anything serious—if that tells you anything.

Of course, I go to his house to use his Jet 1642EVS lathe to turn anything substantial—it works out.
