Well, the chart in the article says pressure required per Sq.In. for oak is 900 Lbs for flat sawn face glued.

A bench top glue joint is 4” x 96” = 384 sq. in.

384 sq. in. x 900 lb required per sq.in. is 345,600 total lbs of force.
