James,

It looks like it chipped out with nice clean edges. Do a dry fit first, but it should go right back and with a little glue should not be that noticable. The more you sand and fool with the original finish the more it will stand out like a sore thumb. Like Jim said, if you use white glue, it dries clear. Be careful with clamps as not to damage the surface. Good Luck
