Thanks, Don! I’ve got one piece of gnarly old chestnut in mind for the #127 restore. Hope it’s enough for the re-sole. Did you ever find a number stamping set? I recall a conversation we had about preserving transitional butt-end stampings. I’m kind of a rat-rod guy; I’ll remove red rust, (to prevent staining the lumber I’m planing, but I prefer the old locomotive look to the trailer-queen pristine shiny-ness of a complete resto. Though I really do admire the quality of your work, Don! I’m just not ready to sell any, when the time comes, I know that sparkly and shiny sells, just like your masterpieces!
