We bought the cyclone from another woodworker who had it set up on the stand and was happy with it. Our shop is MUCH smaller and the outfeed for our shaper passes right by the funnel of the cyclone. This means the stand legs would block our outfeed. Thats the only reason. Here is a picture of the stand before we took it apart.
