IIRC, that’s basically a hybrid saw with cabinet mounted trunnions, and a 3hp motor….they offered a 1.75hp version of the same saw (35601), which was pretty much the same saw as the Craftsman 22124. It may have only been owned for 2 years, but it was made in the range of 6 to 7 years ago (ask to see the original receipt). It’s got lighter duty guts than most 3hp industrial cabinet saws, connecting rods as an arbor carriage, and an older style splitter….not a riving knife. It was a good saw, but $1000 is pretty steep for it IMO….it was probably ~ $1200 newm so $650 would be fair, but not more than $700. For $1294 shipped you can get a brand new Grizzly G1023RL with a riving knife, beefier trunnions, and a warranty. Steel City hybrid trunnions: I wouldn’t expect a dealer to have much good to say about something he’s not profiting on. -- Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.... |
