as long as the saw checks out (no mechanical issues, motor runs, blade is straight), there really isn’t much that can go wrong with these machines. usually if there is any issue with the saw, it’s when its first purchased, and is usually taken care of as part of warranty. if the deal is good, and the saw works well, I say go for it. as for SC, they have seen better days, and used to be highly marketed by woodcraft, then they had difficulties providing (backorders and cancellations) and I think WC dropped them as a supplier. haven’t heard much about them in a long time.
