Lot depends upon wood as to what finish I use. Prefer lacquer, poly, or shellac for pens over CA finish these days. I am sensitive to CA fumes. CA is a real simple finish to use on pens but like anything in woodworking and finishing never know when Murphy’s Law will prevail.

Personally do not want to redo a finish once pen is assembled and used for awhile. Have a pen finished with Hut Crystal Coat use daily for past eight years, looks same as day made it.
