Now I own a Jointer and a Planer and stayed well under $1000 for both. I bought a brand new Geetech 6” jointer on a Machinery Max auction. Final price $213.50. It’s a pretty nice looking machine for being down on the cheap end of things. Various websites have them listed from $250 to $900. The one place that has it for $250 charges a $100 flat rate delivery charge. Machinery Max is my neighbor so they’ll bring it down to my shop on a forklift for free, so I got a pretty good deal. And if it doesn’t work out, it’s not a huge investment. So far the Dewalt Planer is working just fine.
