I make things from wood from my land, and scrap wood is firewood, saw dust mulch for the garden. I was saddened to learn on halloween that gummy ears and brains are made in China. My wife has learned the bar codes for food and they tell the country code. i worry more on food than cheap power tools. It is a lot of reading in the store, but we try to get USA, but if you take out the products with HFcorn syrup, GMsoy and all the stuff from China, Walmart is smaller than a 7-11 for us.
Not to be too sad, for the GenX aged people, there are many businesses we can start up, not just food, but everything. Go make what you can’t find from the US, many cities have free factories, cheap labor and tax breaks. I had to find USA pencils, not easy at Walmart ,but worth the extra 50% cost at another store.
