Charlie, This is an inside piece, meant to be suspended from the ceiling. I have noticed that with just 1-coat of the Renaissance Wax on it, fingerprints wipe off very easily, although it appears the oil from my fingers still slightly gets through to the copper. Again, maybe I just need more coats built-up, but I didn’t want to go doing that just yet if there’s a better solution. I didn’t even think of something like Hoppe’s (or a similar product), for instance. I know that lacquer would be the best solution, but I don’t want to go that route. I’m not necessarily looking for “zero maintenance,” but rather “low maintenance”. Thanks for the response. -- Jonathan, Denver, CO "Constructive criticism is welcome and valued as it gives me new perspectives and helps me to advance as a woodworker." |
