If the 12 inch wide is all you need it will do it. I have the 725 model with the spirial head on it. It will sand,mould as well but I have only used it for planing and it does a terrific job. Correct me if I am wrong but if your really looking to do end grain, wouldn’t you benefit greatly by having a spirial head? Bottom line WoodMasters are great machines….. USA made to boot…..
