I have a couple of them and they work well.

The one I’ve used most is called Router Collet Xtreme Xtension.
It has an allen screw in the side which sort of squashes
a rubber cam into the side of the bit when tightened. 1/2”
bits slide easily into it but it tightens up well.

The other one is a Jacobs chuck version now out of
production. You can still find some old stock for
a few router models on ebay, which is where I got
mine. It’s real easy to operate. Allegedly they gave
up on it because of user complaints… but you know,
people do dumb stuff and blame the tool often enough.
I have only used it a couple of times but it seems
to grip the shank real tight to me.
