Mostly on the left side with the fence on the right, and I stand to the left of the blade.

For some cuts (longer stock) I switch the right side, and stay to the right of the blade. I seldom move the fence to the left side of the blade.

I am fortunate in that I am generally ambidextrous … I write and shoot right-handed, otherwise I am comfortable switching hands to accomplish the task at hand.
