do yourself a favor and return the remote control. these products activate the DC whenever a dust generating tool is activated:

they also have a product line aimed at mixing and matching 110v and 220v tools (ivac pro). from first hand experience with both the tools and the company, they are both absolutely first rate.

-- there's a solution to every just have to be willing to find it.
