I’m pretty sure HF has no input into the product developemnt and designs of the products they sell. They’re simply an importer of whatever is available at various Asian manufacturers.

When those manufacturers make decisions about their product lines and discontinure items, HF will no longer be able to sell them. Without owning the design and tooling, they can’t simply switch vendors.

China has not been imune to the affects of this recesion and from what I’ve read, factories are shutting down left and right over there. In certain cities, where there is a concentration of manufacturing in one particular industry (like furniture making) they are seeing huge population declines, as literally hundreds of factories shudder their plants and their workers head home to the farm.
