I don’t think you understand where you would use certain drill bits to their best advantage. I have no problem using either in a drill press or cordless drill. BTW it’s forstner not foster. The best drills for the money in a forstner style are the Lee Valley Forstner/Sawtooth. A cross between the Forstner and Multispur. Forstner bits are noted for the small center point and being able to drill at angles and not follow the grain. True Forstner bits dull quicker than Multispur bits and one must not overheat them by going too fast. The Multispurs will drill a lot of holes and quickly. That what make the Lee Valley bits so good. Best of both worlds and price. Obviosly the brad points are good for the smaller sizes.
