i ‘re-saw’ with the TS all the time to 6”
then thru the planer
(i rip thicker by up to 1/8”
as the blade might ‘tilt’ thru the cut sometimes)

in hardened wood
sometimes it’s best to do in 1” rises
go easy
flip end over end
not edge over edge

run thicker stock thru the jointer
(if you are using 12/4 stock)
after each re-saw
to get another flat
and re-saw again
the same way
