I’ve seen a few that I would consider spam members as well…but they are more cleverly disguised.

They will post minor projects, comment on others projects and even write blogs. But all of their comments/projects and blogs advocate for a specific brand and product.

They all go something like this…

Comment 1: “Great end table Joe! Did you know that you could have done it better with a smithfield flux capacitor? It is a great tool to have with a great reputation…you should check it out here!”

Comment 2: “Wow! No idea you could build something like that! You can get great, accurate miter cuts every time with the Smithfield flux capacitor! You should go out and research it a little.

Blog: “Just finished my wine rack using my Smithfield flux capacitor, turned out great! The miters were perfect, and each angle was lovely. If you want to know more about it you should go here!”

I see them and think, “that has to be a great job! Sit at your desk all day and browse LJ looking for ways to promote your company’s product.”
