Can use either pin or pinless meter if know what you are doing. Nice read:

Bought this meter back when cost $10 and change, a darling of message boards and has served me well. I harvest wood for turning.

Decide whether want pin or pinless type and read reviews on line. Wagner meters noted for accuracy and ease of use. Have no idea on cost.
