I have the Performax 16-32 also. Never a problem with the paper laying flat, but it can be a real PIG when it comes to changing paper. My little fat hands have a hard time getting in the tight space on the right of the drum to pull the fastening lever. I have tried to use the little tool that came with it, but then I am even more all thumbs. Some changes are easier than others, just like everything else in life. I buy rolls from Peachtree and cut my own. It is waaaaaaaaay cheaper that way.
