The technology used to make this nearly transparent veneer was developed in the U.S. but consumers did not like it. It was picked up by the Pacific RIM countries and China.

It is nearly worthless and probably as bad as the gypsum sheet rock that proved to be a long term health problem.

I think that buy American is the best choice even though it is getting more and more difficult.
