correction, cole, but i’m pretty sure the linked powermatic has a splitter and not a riving knife. note the way the splitter is attached to the rear of the saw?
there’s no way that is going to raise and lower with the blade. but, used properly, it is a very good anti-kickback safety device. nice looking saw, but with a 2hp motor and probably a 30 ” fence, $900 feels kind of rich to me for a used unit, although i’m unfamiliar with the used market for older powermatic saws. -- there's a solution to every problem.......you just have to be willing to find it. |
